The development of the city transport infrastructure will be continued in 2019. Much attention will be paid to the underground, the Moscow Central Circle (MCC) and suburban railway service.

So, it is planned to build from 10 up to 14 new metro stations and a depot. This was enlightened by Deputy Mayor, Head of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development Department Maksim Liksutov.

Metro fleet will be replenished with 552 Moskva trains. The trains of new generation have pass-through carriages with wider doorways and wheelchair spaces placed in the head carriages. Besides, Moskva trains are equipped with USB-ports for charging gadgets and touch monitors installed on the walls. New trains are 15 percent larger and have advanced air-conditioning systems and sound insulation. Moreover, an improved model of trains is planned to be designed. "We expect that the new trains will be received in 2020," Maksim Liksutov added.

Furthermore, the Operations Control Center will start operating in the Metro. “We are going to open the Metro Operations Control Center which will include all services controlling the underground system,” the Deputy Mayor said.

In late 2019 — early 2020, it is planned to start trains on the first Moscow Central Diameters (MCDs). Maxim Liksutov said: "We hope that two diameters will be launched: MCD - 1 Odintsovo-Lobnya and MCD-2 Nakhabino-Podolsk." The MCD operating hours will be the same as the Metro ones: from 05: 30 to 01: 00. Time intervals between trains will not exceed five to six minutes at peak hours.

Time intervals between trains on the Moscow Central Circle (MCC) at peak hours will reduce from five to four minutes. "This will create additional passenger seats," Maxim Liksutov said.
