The necessity of urgent construction of the first line which is Yayva — Solikamsk was caused by the industrial accident in the potash mine of Uralkali company. Excavation roof collapsed in the mine. The hole that appeared in the ground was quickly growing due to underground waters getting into it and was bringing the threat to the railway line Perm — Solikamsk. In the shortest period the institute performed a survey on the detour alternative and elaborated the project’s main sections and documents. In December, 2009 the new railway section Yayva — Solikamsk of 53km long passing around the industrial accident place was tested by the first train and was put into constant operation.
