While designing the BAM project Mosgiprotrans began surveying the
Amur-Yakutsk Mainline (AYM). At first the survey was performed on the Tynda — Berkakit
section whose construction gave access to Neryungrinskoe coal field, and then
on the Berkakit — Tommot and Tommot — Yakutsk sections. Projects
