Glavgosexpertiza approved the project of the Moscow-Kazan HSR section from Vladimir to Nizhny Novgorod

The section length is almost 220 km.

Glavgosexpertiza Russia gave a positive conclusion on the construction project of the Moscow-Kazan HSR section from Vladimir to Nizhny Novgorod, TASS reports referring to the statement of the First Deputy General Director of JSC "RZD" Alexander Misharin, which he made on the sidelines of the International Wxhibition TransRussia.

"We received a positive conclusion from Glavgosexpertiza of Russia regarding stages 5, 6. This section will be from Vladimir to the airport of Nizhny Novgorod. The section length is about 220 kilometers. The design includes 210 artificial structures, 2 out-of-class bridges, 25 large and medium bridges, 16 viaducts, 15 and 20 rail road overpasses. The total cost (according to the prices of the third quarter of 2017) is 359 billion rubles," he said.

Construction of the first HSR section Moscow — Kazan — Moscow — Vladimir — Russian Railways is scheduled for 2018 – 2023 years, as the General Director – Chairman of the Board of Russian Railways Oleg Belozerov said earlier.

Moscow-Kazan HSR is the project of the first Russia's high-speed passenger railway. Its length is 790 km. The length of the railway is 790 km; the cruising speed of trains is up to 360 km/h. The route will pass through the territory of seven regions of Russia (Moscow, Moscow Region, Vladimir and Nizhny Novgorod regions, the Republic of Chuvashia, the Republic of Mari El and the Republic of Tatarstan). The travel time from Moscow to Kazan on a new line will be 3 hours and 17 minutes (instead of 14 hours now). It is planned to build 16 stops. The annual passenger traffic on the line during the first years of its operation is estimated at 10.5 million people.

The winner of a tender for designing the "Moscow — Kazan" HSR is the Russian-Chinese consortium led by JSC "Mosgiprotrans" with the participation of JSC "Nizhegorodmetroproject" and China Railway Eryuan Engineering Group Co. Ltd.

The current estimate of capital costs for infrastructure development is 1 114.9 billion rubles.

On April 17, the exhibition TransRussia/TransLogistica 2018 was opened in “Crocus Expo” Exhibition Center.

Over 390 companies from 26 countries are presenting transport and logistics services, cargo handling and storage, logistics services, financial, information services and customs clearance at their stands.

For the first time the Conference "e-Commerce as a driver of logistics development in Russia" and the Conference on the Management and Optimization of Supply Chains will be held as a part of the business program of the exhibition.

The participants of the exhibition have an opportunity to get acquainted with the technologies of cargo delivery optimization by direct contact to owners of fleet of trucks, containers, cars, ships, aircrafts, terminals, warehouses and port infrastructure.

Furthermore, the transport market participants can choose modern IT-solutions to optimize the management of transport and logistics processes.

The exhibition of transport and logistics services and technologies will work for 3 days.
