HSR construction projects included in the priority list

Over 10 high-speed rail lines construction projects have been previously included in the list.

Russian Railways projects have been included in the list of priority projects of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, the implementation of which will start before 2024. We are talking about high-speed rail lines (HSR), which have been discussed for several years, RBC writes.

It is specified that the main infrastructure overall development project prepared by the Ministry of Economic Development includes over ten HSR construction projects. Among them is the construction of a "Moscow — Kazan and Moscow — Tver — Veliky Novgorod — Saint-Petersburg" HSR with stops in small towns between regional centres. It is clarified that if the "Moscow — Saint-Petersburg" HSR project remain on schedule the construction of this line may start before 2024.

It is also reported that the list of the Ministry of Economic Development includes the following high-speed rail lines: "Krasnodar — Tuapse — Adler", "Tula — Voronezh — ­Rostov-on -Don — Krasnodar", "Chelyabinsk — Kurgan — border with Kazakhstan", "Cheboksary — Ulyanovsk — Samara", "Kazan — Yekaterinburg", "Moscow — Smolensk — Red", "Moscow-Tula".
