Public consultations on environmental impact assessment of the Moscow - Kazan HSR took place in Balashikha

On 12 April, in Balashikha, public hearings concerning materials on environment impact assessment of the Moscow - Kazan line section of the Moscow - Kazan - Ekaterinburg high-speed railway (HSR-2).

The consultations were performed by the Head of Ecology and Nature Management of the City District Administration Balashikha - Albert Viktorovich Goryachev.

Also, the Head of the Department of Management of Natural Resources of the Administration of Ecology and Management of Natural Resources of the Balashikha City District, Kudryavkina Marina Igorevna and the Deputy Head of the Administration of Ecology and Management of Natural Resources, the Head of the Environmental Protection Department of the Administration of Ecology and Management of Natural Resources of the Balashikha City District - Makarova Alla Petrovna took part in the public consultations.


There were 21 people registered for the consultations. During the hearings, the reports were presented by Maxim Normov, the Head of Environmental Design Department in JSC Energotansproekt Research Institute and Dmitri Torgashin, the Head of the Technical Administration in the Technical Department of JSC "High-Speed Rail Lines".

During the presentation Dmitri Torgashin noted that the total length of the line in the Moscow Region is 85 km. The high-speed railway will have two stops: Noginsk and Orekhovo-Zuevo HSR.

Maxim Normov spoke about the technical solutions that will significantly reduce the negative impact of the railway line for both construction and operation.

At the end of the hearings, the citizens could ask all their questions and also offer their suggestions regarding the passage of the highway.

Most of the questions concerned the placement of noise barriers and the availability of transitions through the track.
