During the visit to the Chuvash Republic, the Minister of the Transport of the Russian Federation, Maksim Sokolov noted the significance of economic and social effects which will be brought by the Moscow - Kazan high-speed railway. “The completion of the HSR construction will create new opportunities for developing tourism and new quality of life in the region", Mr. Sokolov said.
The Minister also met with the Head of the Chuvash Republic Mikahil Ignatyev. The officials discussed the questions of development of road industry in the Republic, including the construction of the Moscow — Kazan HSR.
