First Vice-President of Russian Railways and the General Director of JSC High-Speed Rail Lines Alexander Misharin took part in the plenary meeting of International Industry Trade Fair INNOPROM-2016 and presented a speech at plenary sessions of the forums: “Russia - India: new industrialization and industrial partnership” and “Russia - Africa: coming together”.
“A very important transit project “North-South corridor” formed by four participants India, Russia, Iran and Azerbaijan gains a new value”, said the General Director of JSC High-Speed Rail Lines Alexander Misharin. “Last week we signed a protocol on cooperation with Iran and Azerbaijan, and on August 7 the Railroader Day, the demonstration container ship and train will bring goods from Mumbai to Moscow according to the agreed tariff rates with specific actors of the corridor who formed the tariff policy.”
While visiting the exhibition, the First Vice-President of Russian Railways and the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov discussed the issues concerning the construction of high-speed trains. Moreover, Alexander Misharin held a series of meetings with the representatives of India, the country - partner of INNOPROM 2016, and negotiations with the representatives of the South African freight railway company "Transnet". There also were meetings held between the delegation of JSC High-Speed Rail Lines and the leading manufacturers of rolling stock "Uralvagonzavod", "Sinara" CRCC.
Also, during INNOPROM 2016, the declaration on the inclusion of the Governor of the Chelyabinsk Region Boris Dubrovsky and the Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region Evgeny Kuyvashev to the Association of the constituent entities and cities of Russia connected by a high-speed network. . The Association was established at the initiative of the heads of constituent entities of the Russian Federation in order to develop high-speed rail traffic in Russia and coordinate activities of the heads of the Russian constituent entities and local governments in the implementation of high-speed rail construction projects.
