Russia and Italy will set up a joint working group for implementation of the Moscow-Kazan HSR project

During the meeting between the First Vice President of the Russian Railways (RZD) Alexander Misharin and the Vice President of Italian State Railways Giovanni Rocca, the participants expressed their interest in the joint implementation of the project on the construction of the High-Speed Rail Line Moscow — Vladimir — Nizhny Novgorod — Cheboksary — Kazan, and other projects aimed at the development of the railway transportation. 
“In order to ensure operational coordination and discussion of all issues regarding participation of Russian and Italian companies in the implementation of the Moscow-Kazan high-speed rail project as well as in other infrastructure projects in the field of railway transportation we will set up a working group,” concluded Alexander Misharin.
Several subgroups are planned to be set up as a part of the working group which will be responsible for developing various line of cooperation including: examination of issues of delivery and localization of the rolling stock and equipment for the Moscow-Kazan HSR project; study of organizational, legal and financial models for implementing the Moscow-Kazan HSR project; development of proposals for other infrastructure projects in the field of the railway transportation.
