HSR specialists from Russia and France held seminar on exchange of experience

The international seminar on maintenance of the infrastructure of high-speed rail lines was held on October 25 in JSC “High-Speed Rail Lines”.

The seminar was attended by the representative of the French companies SNCF (French National Railways) and SYSTRA SA providing technical consultancy regarding the Moscow-Kazan HSR project, executives of JSC “High-Speed Rail Lines”, JSC RZD and project organizations.  
 
The purpose of the seminar was the exchange of the experience in the maintenance of HSRs between Russian and French participants.  In particular. the General Director of the Department “Railway Technologies and Systems” of SNCF Pierre Izard made a report on the maintenance of the HSR infrastructure in France.  The Chief Project Engineer of JSC Mosgiprotrans V.P. Levashov and the Head of the Department of Economics of Rail Transportation of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education St. Petersburg State Transport University Stupnikova E.I. made reports regarding the development of the Moscow-Kazan HSR project documentation. Then the French participants answered the questions of their Russian colleagues.

The Deputy General Director of JSC “High-Speed Rail Lines” Sergey Kiselev thanked the French colleagues for their participation in the event and expressed his confidence in high effectiveness of the cooperation, one aspect of which was the performed seminar.

"Holding such seminars is a part of a long-term cooperation between JSC High-Speed Rail Lines” and the countries where HSRs already operates", said Sergey Kiselev. "We cooperate with China, France, Germany and other countries in many areas of construction and development of HSRs. The practical experience in operating HSRs, which we receive during such seminars, is already used by our experts and scientific community in the design of the first Russian high-speed rail line “Moscow — Kazan".
