The President of JSC RZD Oleg Belozerov has approved the Scientific and Technical Development Plan of Open Joint Stock Company Russian Railways for 2017. The decision was enshrined in Protocol No. 36 dated October 17, 2016.
The Scientific and Technical Development Plan for 2017 includes the works aimed at the implementation of the Moscow-Kazan High-Speed Rail Line construction in the following areas:
- development and introduction of technical means and technologies of the high-speed passenger traffic for the process of ensuring optimum interoperability of rolling stock and infrastructure elements;
- introduction of innovative materials, structures and technical systems for the infrastructure of the Moscow — Kazan HSR and rolling stock;
- development and actualization of technical standard documents in the field of standardization and technical regulation.
"Approval of the Plan enables the most important works for the HSR project Moscow — Kazan to be performed”, said the Chief Engineer of the Project Vladimir Andreev. "Without unified norms and standards, none of the innovative technologies can fully work and bring benefit to people. The Moscow — Kazan HSR project has many such technologies: ways, subsystems, rolling stock and stations".
